Pilot numbers must not conflict with Personal or Group intercom extensions. Generally, if you
are going to use extensions from a Master Clear Mode 1 or 2 database, it is best if you use
extension numbers ranging from 5524-5998. If a specific pilot number is required, you may
need to remove the Group intercoms before it can become available.
Pilot numbers can be translated from a DID table, allowing a person to call right into the Hunt
Group, bypassing the attendant.
Additionally, pilot numbers can be used as a Voice Mail ID. With this feature enabled, when the
system routes a call that is ringing at a particular line to the voice mail system, it routes it with
the ID number. The voice mail system then sends the call to the box that corresponds to the line's
ID number. You can use voice mail system programming to construct customized answering
prompts for the individual boxes.
NOTE: After Adding the pilot number do not forget to hit the APPLY button. You cannot add hunt group
members unless the pilot number is applied.
Step 2: Identifying Hunt Group Members
A station hunt group member list may contain all stations in the system but is limited to personal
intercom numbers only.
Each hunt group may include the maximum number of stations that the system can support;
however, due to system memory limitations, all hunt groups may not contain all stations
simultaneously.
When a member list of stations are added as a hunt group to a pilot number they can be added in
any order. Their order in the member list, will be their search order when a Search Type is
chosen from the Search Type programming field.
