FX II Hardware Introduction
Overview
• The FX II platform opens the door for small or branch office customers to have access to
digital trunking and networking products, as well as Comdial CCB telephony features that are
normally only available in much larger systems. This system was introduced at Release 175,
Feature Set 15C, and featured a 1 cabinet configuration.
• The FX II provides 6 universal board slots in the main cabinet that accept FX series station
and line boards, including T-1, ISDN, VoIP, and a host of special-purpose boards.
• Beginning at Release 190, Feature Set 17A, the FX II became expandable to 5 cabinets for a
total of 30 universal slots and 480 ports.
