Similar to the previous situation, an extraordinary number of Serial Data Ports may be
required in a configuration that does not have the second or third cabinet available. In these
cases there is a combination of software that has to be enabled in conjunction with the
physical placement of the DXOPT-COM cards as outlined below.
Serial Ports 11-18 Select:
• Serial Data Ports 3 through 10 are located on the Services board.
• Serial Data Ports 11 through 18 may be installed in the lower two slots of one of the
following three locations:
* Interface board 2 installed in upper expansion cabinet
* Interface board 3 installed in lower expansion cabinet
* Auxiliary board installed in the main cabinet
• You must take this programming action to match serial data ports 11 through 18 with the
installation location that you choose for the DXOPT-COM card that provides the ports.
Group Intercoms
• A system using a 4 MB RAM card, will support 984 Group Intercom numbers.
• A system using a 6 MB RAM card, will support 1864 Group Intercom numbers.
