Exercise Setup
Task Comments
1. Open a new file:
Go to File drop-down menu, and select New.
• Select the platform FXII Expansion.
• Select Master Clear Mode 1.
• Select the 17A feature set.
• Check only the Impact and Impact SCS Support
box.
• Select 0 Expansion Cabinets.
2. Set up the board configuration:
• Use the boards listed in the cabinet view to the
right.
• Go to the Programming pull-down menu, and
select Board Configuration or use Ctrl-Shift-B.
Select the down arrow button in the slot 1 row
and pick the appropriate board from the list.
• Alternate: Go to the Programming pull-down
menu, then select Cabinet View and highlight
slot one in the graphic.
• Select Add Board and pick the appropriate
board from the list.
3. Set up intercom numbering (this step is not
necessary if you selected master clear mode 1 or 2):
• Go to the Edit pull-down menu, and select
Block Assign Extensions.
• Enter the starting extension number as 1001.
• Click the Stations button and select the station
ports that you want to number (one port or a
block of ports). Click on Assign or OK.
The Assign option will assign your selection and keep
the window open for you to select more ports to proceed.
The OK option will assign your selection and close the
window.
4. Specify a phone model:
• Use the Programming Chart provided on the
next page for the phone types to program.
• Go to the Programming pull-down menu and
select Stations, or Ctrl-Shift-S.
• Find Phone Model and click the down arrow at
the end of the row. Pick the appropriate phone
model from the list.

5. Save the file: Click Save. In the window that
appears find the file name and change it to
Class.dbr then click Save.
